Duck Dynasty

Does anyone else here watch this show?

My wife has pointed out many, many similarities between the Robertson family and my own. The lessons learned at the end of each show, and how tight knit the family is is very much like what life was like when I was growing up.

Yes, sir. One of my guilty pleasures, although I don't feel that guilty about it. My wife refuses so it's usually a little 'me time' with a beer in the recliner.

As a member of a family business, I appreciate the dynamic. Even if I can't relate to their situation, I can relate to what Willie deals with on the management side with some folks thinking it's easy to run the business until they're put in the position of making those decisions.

One fascinating tidbit about Phil (don't know if you knew it or not), was that he actually played QB ahead of Terry Bradshaw at LA Tech. He red-shirted his freshman year, lettered for 3 seasons and had one year of eligibility left but decided he didn't want to play football anymore since it interfered with duck hunting season. That's when Bradshaw got his chance to play. The Redskins were still interested in him but he still chose duck hunting over the NFL.

I'd heard that before. Once you have partaken of duck that you hunted and cooked, you'll understand why the decision was made.

I love the banter between Willie and Jase, with the Uncle Cy's encouragement. It reminds me much of my older brother and myself, which is why we won't go into business together again. LOL

Hey JP started to reply differently, but I knew the way that I typed it, could sound really bad.
