Let's go to Yemen
Is the US the largest exporter of war tools? Is this the beginning of another Afganistan? I'm of the opinion that we need to reign in the spending on alot of our overseas activities but that is just me.
Note that this is the first time the US has been involved in Yemen. Do they have any oil? Yemen

I thought they just exported terrorists and IEDs . . .

I think the first time I heard of Yemen was on an episode of "Friends."

Yemen has been of geographical significance since a long time, possibly centuries. It's like a hub used as a turn over point for many trades.
Africa - Arabian Peninsula - Orient - Asia and vise versa. In the past particularly important, slave trade from Africa > East, Oriental and Asian goods > West. It's a stop on the historical 'Silk Road'. I suppose it's still the same today, only the merchandise has changed.

Think we should get congressional authorization before we make war?

Who or whom are we going to war against? Or is this more broadly applied to anywhere in the world and under any circumstances?

I think this one falls under the "War on Terror" category. I don't remember when they voted on it but I know we've been fighting it for awhile now and I don't see any end in site (or is that the War on Drugs or War on Poverty we're fighting). Think of it as the wars that never end.

I thought it was a target range for our drones.

England once took over the place to use as a coaling station for their Navy. While there were they they discovered that some of the best coffee in the world is grown there.
The coaling station is long gone, but Yemen still exports coffee. |

Make war. You know. Like war making.

The US has used its military forces abroad about 200 times since it was formed, declared war 5 times. 2.5%
The War Powers Resolution of 1973 is a separation of powers powderkeg that Congress has not ventured to test. |

In capital trial there is usually only one casualty of a miscarriage.
Might be useful to take a moment to reflect on the will of the people before making war not love. |

Again, you may want to provide more informaton about where and what "war making" you're referring to. The link in the OP seems to concern itself with the Yemenis going after AQ.
