Oh, I thought you were posting pictures of Barn Finds. I am not given much to jealousy, but when someone finds a classic Packard in a barn for peanuts, I must admit to a twinge of jealousy.

Although not a barn, I found my euro spec 190E 2.3-16 in garage after sitting for five years on Maui. The sister of the original owner shipped to Hawaii, when she moved from Nevada.

So what should the ground rules be?

I live in Oklahoma and there are several old cars laying around that I am aware of. None that I am interested in, but perhaps someone else might be.

There are no 'litter abatement' laws here that require an abandoned auto to be pulled in. If you break down by the side of the road your car can be hauled off, but if you just let it sit there it can sit there for years.

So what contact info should be posted with the photo? I would suggest just the city and a description of where the car is, but it is also possible that just posting the photo and state would be enough. If I post a photo and someone wants more info they can PM me. This way the info is not up there long after it has gone stale.

Any thoughts?

any pictures of cars you dont own should be taken with the current owners permission, if they want to sell and want the info posted I'd say post it with the pictures. doing any photographing without owners permissions can get people into trouble especially with privacy complaints etc that can arise

* Take pictures, list only city + state location.
Further specific location information needs to be by PM...

If it is in view from public access, and you don't go on private property = you have the right to photograph...

* If you can identify the vehicle, please do.

* If you snap a shot of a cool vehicle but can't identify, don't worry..
