Personally, I'm loving them. The pattern is very different from the US spec lights and the output is far better. I'm using standard OSRAM H4 60/55W bulbs.
They also improve the look IMHO. The problem is now I am thinking of getting my hood re-painted as the lights look so damn nice, it makes the hood look crappy (minor rock chips, etc.) It never ends does it? BTW, After I hooked up and aimed the lights (that article was VERY helpful for aiming), I lined my car up beside my friend's 2001 BMW 330i and we both fired up the lights. Both cars have similar beam patterns - with the low beam having a section of light thrown upwards on the right (oassenger's) side. Both have the same horizontal cutoff. Pretty cool. The output was similar in terms of actual light output between the two cars, but his was a bluer light. He's got the factory Bosch Xenons in his Bimmer, I've got the standard H4s. I think I might upgrade to the +50 bulbs at some point... All in all, though it was worth the money. I can't wait for my first night-time country drive!!!

I don't have a 124. However I did take the plunge and bought the Euros.
Yes, they are worth it. If my headlight surrounds were badly pitted, cracked, hazed, etc. and my fog lights weren't completely pitted, I'd have just bought the Hella 7" H4's as I think the 123's US lights ain't that bad lookin'. These Euros are definitely brighter but as Zeus said.. now I wanna take it to a body shop to paint the body from below the headlights all the way down and a bit of the hood to be touched up...

Definately worth it. To me its like you bottle up the suna nd project it out of the headlights it is that much different... Literally the difference is like night and day. Night being the old lights, day being the output of the new lights.
