Death threats against Walker

The Twitter world is all abuzz over threats against Walker.
Where is the President urging calm?
Where are the Democrats distancing themselves from this behavior?
(Both allusions to real events after the shooting of the Arizona Representative Gabrielle Giffords--the dems were quick to politicize that issue)

Or are death threats OK if they are directed at a hated object of liberals?

Wow! Talk about sore losers!

BTW, don't expect B.O. to be urging calm any time soon.

The implication that death threats are a partisan matter is an example of how far the level of discourse has sunk. That this thread suggests that in any way is deplorable.

So now the President is required to urge calm whenever the Twitter world is all abuzz over something? Or, to state my question another way, what the hell are you talking about?

The fact that threats are used openly in partisan political discourse is the indication. This thread just states facts.

Here's another shining example:

Its a matter of objectivity and fairness. ( Neither of which I lay claim to). But the President is the president of all the people; not just those who voted for him. He never misses an opportunity to chide Conservatives or Republicans, or politicize a tragedy for his benefit. Don't you remember how he, and everyone assumes that the shooter was a conservative?
I am just saying that he needs to urge calm, and he needs to be as quick to denounce crazy lefties, as he is to denounce crazy righties.

So he should urge calm every day then?

I imagine someone gets threats each day....I imagine he probably gets a hundred or so each day.

Oh, yeah, I bet he is getting right on it.

Threats against the President are handled by the Secret Service, and they have little sense of humor, or political bent.
If he uses the bully pulpit in one instance; he must use it in the other, or he loses credibility. I would still think he is a terrible President, but I would have respect for him if he did it.

I still don't know what you are talking about. I assume that you are not suggesting that the President needs to urge calm whenever someone sends a crazy tweet, so I gather that you are basing your pronouncements on something. I just don't know what that something is.

No, that's not what MS is saying. He is trying to point out that it would be handled differently if it were one of B.O.'s DEMOCRAT governor buddies. Anyone who does NOT believe that to be true is blinded by their ideology.
