How do you approach this site?

Do you go to a specific forum to read up, check for new posts from friends, or just click on "new posts"?

I know many here avoid open discussion due to the frequent rants on many hot button topics.

I just click on new posts and see what's going on.

I check this part and then go to the Vintage section where I can sometimes help out with common problems.

I look at this as two different sites. I may scream and yell at folks in this section, but if those same folks post a question in the Vintage forum I will do all I can to help them out.

The only thing one really knows about a machine is that someday it will need repair. When that day comes you can spend a lot of time an money trying to figure it out or you can post a question and hope for a response. If I can help someone save money on a repair then I feel that is more for them to spend on other things and also gives them more time to enjoy their Mercedes.

Information is like manure. It only works if you spread it around.

I load diesel discussion first then check out OD for any non garbage threads that may interest me.

Honestly, if it wasn't for some of the members here and the friendships I have I probably wouldn't buy another Benz. I'd probably get a vw.

With the proper club I address the site . . . [hello, site] shoulders parallel to the pin, head down, then grip it and rip it.

With coffee. The political/public policy threads are a real yawner. Who cares! If I want to read about public policy, I'll search on my own.
