Couple years ago, I watched old Jimmy in a televised interview say that anyone that was opposed to Obama and his policies "just had a problem with a black man being President" - IOW, a racist.

Now, he seems to be all but calling him the Antichrist.

Strange times indeed - here we are in an election year, and the two living former D presidents (Carter and Clinton) seem to be "damning with faint praise" the D incumbent president running for reelection.

I have to cut Peanut Jimmy a little slack on this. Reason? It's obvious for the last year or two that he's "gone on around the bend." He made a clearly anti semitic statement a year or two ago and has done a few other things out of character.

They say that small children and the elderly have no facade. Jimmy has DEFINITELY lost his. Anyone who puts much stock in what he says is either a liberal zealot or just trying to be kind to the old man.

He served his time, just let him age as gracefully as he will allow himself to.

I will say this for him - as much of a fiasco as his term as POTUS was, at least he attempted to use his status as a former POTUS to go out and try to do some good in the world - regardless of what you think of the results or what his intended aims were.

In Jimmy's case, at least he did SOMETHING to justify being awarded a Nobel Prize.
