I want a right hand drive car
 

I've always wanted one because we don't have them here in the US and every time I see someone with one, they give off that smug face, they have it and know it's awesome.. I want that smug face!!! Lol

If we lived in fantasy land I would fly over to South Africa and pick me up a 1980's 124/123 or possibly w210 and drive around SA and Namibia and then ship her out and bring her out of Africa. Not only would I have a cool RHD car but it would be a brand and model I really enjoy. Man, to drive a manual RHD w124 from Africa would be ultimate for me, talk about dream car (besides DeLorean of course).

I know they make Jeeps RHD here for some reason but i'll pass on those... I wish I could just go pick one up -_- Why can't I win lotto???

A couple years ago I saw a RHD w123 280E for sale in California. It would be interesting to have one. I briefly (as in about a mile each way) drove a RHD manual Toyota once. It was interesting.

Driving a car with the steering wheel "on the wrong side" is a pain in the arse - on small roads you have to rely on a passenger to see if there is any oncoming traffic so you can pass or you just sit stuck behind the stupid...

I've driven RHD cars "on the continent" (= France, Belgium, Germany and Holland) and I've driven LHD cars in England. Centrally located driver information, a flip over steering wheel and a double set pedals would be great for my travels!

If its in the us, put the word "mail" in your search. That's why there are so many rhd jeeps, but I've seen some really oddball stuff that was modified via factory for mail service. Various minivans and wagons.

Couple months ago I saw a rhd early 90s cutlass sierra wagon delivering mail, guy said it started out as a driving school modified vehicle, had both right and left controls.

I have seen some RHD Saturn wagons for USPS service.

Years ago, in the Britcar world it was common to take a RHD car here and convert to LHD. There may still be some castoff RHD parts kicking around for someone to reverse one

i've seen toyota's,subaru's and i believe a honda rhd in mail service.

Just remember RHD 123 has no turbo diesel.
we have a few LHD cars on the road over here. Very impractical.

years ago and i haven't seen it in at least 10 yrs was an early 60's gmc fleetside shortbed pickup that was rhd.it was painted the gaudiest pink i have ever seen.i always thought it was a cool truck even though it was pink

I've seen an old VW bug, old Rolls Royce and recently which got me fired up about this was a Bluebird?? Toyota or something that looked like it was from the early 70's.. It was RHD and that guy had such a smug face... ugh...

I think the coolness factor I guess for me would balance out the practicality issue and In-N-Out Burger has drive through lanes for both the driver and passenger sides of cars so i'm all good in that aspect haha :P

My thinking may be way off, but wouldn't it almost be better when you're merging on the freeway? You have more space to see the oncoming traffic on the left when you're sitting on the right, I would imagine it would feel funky driving on the right side of the road while sitting on the right side of the car, but it wouldn't take but a few weeks to get used to. I think shifting with my left hand would feel the most awkward..

When I went to Australia in 2005 with my high school band we got to stay with host families which was really neat. I remember being all excited to see what my host mom was going to pull up in; a Citroen...Peugeot?? Holden?? But, of course with my luck, she rolls up in a Ford fiesta wagon haha There was an instance where she took us to the beach and as we were walking up to the car she looks at me and says "oh, are you going to be driving?" and I looked down to see I was on the drivers side of the car which was the right side :P It was a good laugh and it was fun sitting as a passenger on "the drivers side".

What?! Since I don't do drive throughs, I've never noticed, but you've just made my lunch choice for today just so I can check.

Not sure if it would help merging. It might help with passing, since a lot of slow drivers also like to keep to the left part of the lane, making it easier to see around them from the right part of the lane. I do this all the time on my bike.

That one time I drove a RHD, shifting with my left hand felt quite natural, however I'm left handed. Wrong-handed people tended to need a couple days to get used to it.

Don't talk about In-N-Out...we had them in Utah, and it was love at first bite. Back east, sadly, we don't have them.

it is a downright PITA to drive a wrong sided car. stick to how the road flows.

I was an ice cream truck driver one summer and drove an old RHD AMC. There was a cool novelty for a little while, but it goes away. Wasn't too much of a pain, because it rode much higher than a car. But I always thought a car would be scarier.

pretty easy to pick up a RHD Land Rover Discovery or early RR.
