Condi Veep?

From Drudge:

Late Thursday evening, Mitt Romney's presidential campaign launched a new fundraising drive, 'Meet The VP' -- just as Romney himself has narrowed the field of candidates to a handful, sources reveal.

And a surprise name is now near the top of the list: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!

The timing of the announcement is now set for 'coming weeks'.

Never say "never" but she would so outshine the candidate in poise and foreign policy experience, it would likely be viewed as something he would not want to have such a direct comparison with.

Dudesky 07-12-2012 08:54 PM

She was on record stating 'no'. It would be a good pick and knock Obama's socks off.

A former cabinet member and Bush advisor. It would due a godsend for Obama.

^^^Might as well drop another heart into Cheney and ask him to re-up for four more years.

Hard to say.
The Obama crowd has been tripping over themselves pretty regular.
Most of their big hits are blowing back in their face.
All these attacks and Obama offers no vision for the next four years other than killing Bush tax cuts, Romney is hiding things blah blah blah.
Indies are growing weary of this.
Condi just might clinch the Indie vote plus kill the race card.

She was a horrible secretary of state. Only loved by neo-cons and people with alzheimer.

Floating a trial balloon?

Botnst 07-13-2012 07:49 AM

I think Romney is launching a whole bunch balloons to make the opposition shoot targets all over the sky. Like chaff in WWII, it conceals the true target until the bomber is right over the target. Then it's too late to mount an in-depth opposition vetting.

Yeah, by one degree and about 30 years. Might make B.O. want to go back to school for his PHD, but he could NEVER catch up on experience and common sense.

Not to mention she has class, brains and character. Beats B.O. on all fronts.

I think you're right. Clinton was the master at putting up trial balloons to see the reaction. Maybe Romney is onto that.
