Mars Landing
Anybody watch the Curiosity landing on Mars last night? I watched it live on NASA TV from JPL. It was awesome!

I did. I caught the landing on the Moon back in '69 so I thought I would catch this one, too.
So far the US is the only country to ever put a working robot on Mars. Some people are all shook up that China is planning a trip to the Moon, but since they have had over 40 years to study what the US did to get that trip right then I really don't get too excited over what China is doing. But Mars? That's real Space Travel. I just hope I live long enough to see someone from Earth step foot on Mars. |

I saw it as well in 69, a few seconds before you!! Dont worry too much about China, they are good copiers. They probably have a group of 16 year olds built like their Olympic swimmer that could get to the moon by peddle power !! Dont know what they are on but it must be good !
