92 500SL ignition cylinder removal?
 

Hi, on my 92 500SL, the key will not turn past on nor will it come out of the switch. I have looked through my microficshe from Benz and it is NO HELP AT ALL. I am coming to the comclusion that my cylinnder is a newer version than the car. I have ordered the new one, but I cannot remove the old one. I have just completed installing 1 cam, 2 new intake valves, 2 front gears, all the chain rails and chain, the car ran perfect, then I remembered I had to install the bolts on the front motor mounts, when I finished, I could not start the car. Any connection???????????????? Has anyone done this removal process ??? I need HELP !!! Its annoying after all the work I've done, not to be able to remove this piece !! Thanks, Sven.
