What do you consider the quintessential "gentleman's" car?
 
Got into a conversation about this with one of my gearheaded friends. What do you consider to be the quintessential gentlemans car?


He said this:

Which I do agree with to a point, but said this was the quintessential gentlemans car:

I would agree that the DB5 is a good choice but most high end GT Coupe's would also suffice so long as they don't fall into the Ferrari or Lambo supercar territory. Aston Martins are remarkable for their gentlemanly status even though the are very high end.


I certainly wouldn't consider an M5 as a gentleman car but the old 8-Series might pass the test.
