I suppose the equivalent plank in the Democrat's platform would be unrestricted access to abortions for any woman, regardless of her age or method of termination.

However, the reality is that neither of the presidential candidates endorses the extremes of their respective party's positions.

I'll second that.

Oh ok, one offendee I am willing to ignore, but two I won't.

My apologies to both of you, the comment was in poor taste. However, the sentiment remains. If you find that comment offensive, then why not the idea that a rape victim has no right to abort a pregnancy forced upon her? I find the idea that people defend this notion more offensive by far. This is part of this human life amendment initiative.

When the debate of "When life begins and when human rights begin" ends.

There is not a law that exists or can be made that will be fair to all involved. My belief is that there should not be any laws for or against or subsidy provided for abortion. It should be a medical decision based on each individual case. Any other viewpoint almost certainly comes attached to an agenda.

Less government seems to be the best fit in my opinion.

I do not think the limitation of rights can be equated with the expansion of rights. I also am not aware of any proposed legislation that would promote or grant unlimited.abortions regardless of age.

Paul Ryan and Todd Akin co-sponsored the bill that would define life as starting at conception. That would prohibit all abortions except in cases where the mothers life in.endangered. This not just some plank to be forgotten. This is real life for at least some of the people in a position to actually make it happen.

I'll take it WAY past this. I believe that there should be NO government subsidy of ANYTHING! There should be a SMALL government to provide a justice system, a military and maybe a road system. We could have done just fine if the road system would have stayed private.
