Did Anyone See Dirty Harry Last Night

He is at that point in his life that he does not GAS about what the MSM thinks or writes about him.

He spoke what he really thinks. At 82, I guess he has earned that right.

Here's a link.

Maybe he should have gone a little lighter on the bottle.

It's certainly clear nobody wrote his speech for him.

Take away all the adoring and sneering whoops and hollers from the crowd, just read the transcript of the speech and it's pretty clear Eastwood was an empty suit standing next to that empty chair.
He really had almost nothing to say. I'll bet he wishes he really had somebody to vote FOR.

What was was saying?

Seems obvious to me. He was telling Obama, as Harry Callahan would, to go f**k himself.
He probably views Obama the way Harry viewed the Frisco mayor in Dirty Harry. As a pussy.

I liked it. And the fact that so many of you find fault with it only reinforces that view.

If you are thinking that Clint's little humor overshadowed the evening, you clearly did not watch the show.

That was without a doubt Mitt's party last night. He made a good case for being our next president. He had a very good show of support from friends, and former co-workers.

Clint was just a side show. But he clearly said what many are thinking.

Clearly did watch the show. That it was Mitt's "party" was expected, as he's been the presumptive nominee for quite some time, so there was no surprise except for Mr. Eastwood. Using him as a "side show" as you say . . .

My take on the Eastwood "remarks".

I first thought it odd when he came out with his hair mussed up. Like he jumped out of the limo, walked in and right onto the stage. Then his muttering, stammering, disjointed remarks left my jaw agape. I was thinking "get the hook and get him off"!! sheesh! When he referred to Obama as telling him to tell MR to go f**k himself and then Obama telling him to go f**k himself. ("no, I can't do that either" ) I was double WTF.

It didn't come to me until this morning that he was telling that to the prez. Somebody on Morning Joe said that Clint gave a pretty good speech about his supporting Romney in Idaho recently, and on that basis, he was asked to come to the convention. Apparently, they were expecting the same speech & no one screened it
Ha Ha, joke's on you RNC!

C'mon, give Clint a break. He's 82 for heaven's sake - hope I'm still above ground and in at least as good a shape as him when that birthday rolls around for me.

At that age, might be it's like what was said of Jimmy Carter a while back - it's got to the point that although for the most part he's still hitting on all 8 cylinders, there's an occasional misfire every once in a while.
