Replacement Odometer and Wiper Gears

Found this website while researching the failed odometer on my late father's 98 F150 -

Odometer Gears - Mercedes-Benz - 124 Chassis 84-95 Mech.

Not just MB, but other makes and models as well.

VDO gear driven odometers have known issues with shaft stripping and slipping. Preventative action is to avoid resetting while the vehicle is in motion, but the do seem to have a high failure rate. VDO is also in Porsche and Volvo.
