It's going to be an interesting promotional junket for "Trouble with the Curve" movie.

You're right. These types look at any and all publicity as good news for themselves or their cause.

I like Clint, and what I saw of his single act one man performance, seemed like he was expressing his personal views. Can't fault the guy for that. At age 82, in that setting, I think he did a good job of winging it.
I also tend to believe that he is not nearly as much Joe Citizen as he would like to believe. Joe Citizen doesn't fly to the convention in their private jet. I think Gitmo is a dead subject at this point, so he wasted a bunch of time right there trying to show how right he was four years ago, self aggrandizing at the least. His insistence about Obama's broken promises is tenuous at best, and may have indicated a couple sips of Kool-Aid in the green room... No politician keeps all their promises, and it is a waste of time to look back and pick out the ones he failed to meet. The fact checkers (if you buy into their brand of beverage) have repeatedly said that Obama has done as well as or better than contemporary presidents at keeping promises. My guess is he will be equally unhappy with Romney 4 years later, if he wins the election. I still like the guy, and even after his appearance, would not attempt to say who he will actually vote for.

Yup. As far as his opinion of Rmoney is concerned, you can make a pretty good case that the speech was "damning with faint praise."
