Diagnosed yesterday and surgery a day later. It must be good to have former president's health care.

I didn’t know he’s 67, but that too is good news.

Enough to get where he was and is. Are you at that level yet?

Not really good news one way or the other AFAIK. On the plus side, he will cost less to fix. On the negative side, he will cost more if he lives longer like anyone else so not sure. He isn't the current Prez so I'm not really concerned one way or the other.

I hope he does well. Brother in law had heart surgery to replace two valves. Contracted a staff infection and gall bladder issues that ruined them both and had to get cracked open again. Never been the same since. Recovery has been to about 90% and this was over 5 years ago.

Me too. The healthier he is, the less he costs us. You might argue if he was a good Prez or not however, what is not in dispute is that his useful life is over. When mine is over, I hope to be cremated and not left around to think about better days.

not unusual to get a blockage detected and fixed ASAP...depends on the level of blockage.

This is the kind of care we can all look forward to under the affordable care act!

Not even the care we can expect to get from the current health care system.

I think you might be surprised. If a blockage is found, not unusual for insurance to rapidly approve stent. Much cheaper than heart attack recovery or bypass surgery....

You bring up something there that in all environmental discussions I have heard or read this is one area I have not heard about. The practice of vaulting bodies in the ground seems far from sustainable, yet I have never heard any discussion about it from an environment standpoint. Hermetically sealing people in the ground takes up more and more room. It does not stop. Cremation seems much more realistic. For the about of fuel it takes to haul a backhoe to a cemetery, dig a hole, and refill it you could have the body cremated. Just a thought.

On a side note I remember seeing something about George H and Barbara Bush on TV a week ago. I though she looked the same as she did in 1990.
