Interesting reasoning. The rise in straight ticket voting, if it's for real, could make a big difference. Only 25 seats. Doable.

I think the more interesting possibility is 2014 if the president is re-elected and the GOP continues the "party of no" strategem.

Whether it will matter or not, depends on what happens in Congressional elections in November..

I predict the D's will have a big gain in seats in the house, and a gain in the senate as well.

I predict that regardless of the elections, both houses will still do nothing worthwhile for another 2 years.

IMO I think my prediction has a MUCH better chance of coming to pass.

IMO, straight party ticket voting = moron.

Regardless if it's for D, R, L, S, C, or whatever other party you can come up with.

I hope you're right. I'm generally content with gridlock. The less the a55 hats in D.C. "accomplish" the better, AFAIC.

Dems "obstructing" Reps, Reps "obstructing" Dems is fine by me.
