One of the questions has been what would the president do if he received "that" phone call in the middle of the night. How would he respond to some emergency.
Well, now we know. When President Obama got "that call" about the attack on the Embassy he went back to sleep. Probably dreaming about how he could revise the truth and shift the blame for it to anyone else but himself, or his administration.
Many of you faulted Bush for his reaction to news about the 9-11 attacks when he continued with the school children for a few minutes. Will you apply that same standard to Obama?

We now know that the carefully crafted story about the attacks being caused by that anti-Islamic film trailer on the internet are completely false--that this was a planned attack, and that the Ambassador expected to be targeted, and requested additional security.
Obama's Middle East foreign policy is a failure.
His lack of leadership and his naivety are on full display.

I see no proof that a snappy comeback would have changed the outcome on the ground there.

As for long term? We'll have to wait and see how it all plays out.

So is that to imply that a snappy response from GW would have changed things on 9/11? You can't have it both ways Tom.

Heck, he probably thought the US has plenty of embassies, so you loose one from time to time.
Its not as though it got neuked.
Chances are the ambassador would not be voting for him anyway.
He may have been busy with his wife. When your days are numbered in the big house, best not let one go by !
Blame it on his mate that nominated him for setting an example.

So what is it that we have to "wait" for? We know that he was naive enough to believe that it was spontaneous instead of preplanned. We know that he was naive enough to swallow the crap about it being caused by a video. We also know that he's in favor of turning loose 55 detainees EVEN after one that GW turned loose was behind the deal that he was willing to shrug off and go back to sleep over.

So what are we waiting for and how long do we wait,.... 'til November 7th? Nope, sorry, I won't wait on that decision.

We 'know' nothing of the sort. Seems like some folks are ready to believe anything that shines a negative light on Obama....Sad really...

I don't see any consensus or admissions on this at all. What are your sources?

Obama has not performed on quite a few levels. Foreign policy is not one of them and your petty attacks on him ring hollow.

Exactly what is worthless about he ambassadors own concerns which were apparently ignored by the administration? Your appreciation for O's foreign policy may be unjustified in my opinion, with the exception of effective use of Drone strikes and anti-AQ operations where he has been significantly better than his predecessor.

Maybe there is more between the lines than what is in their reporting.... But I did not see anything about a request for additional security. Furthermore, this was the mans personal journal, not a transcript of his dealings with the State Department or the President.
