So let's see...she has to confess for:
1. Thinking about drinking 2. Thinking about stealing 3. Going to the store so she can steal 4. Going to the store to get alcohol 5. Entering the store to steal 6. Entering the store to get alcohol 7. Stealing 8. Drinking alcohol 9. Hiding her habit in her habit Man, that's at least eight sins for one beer. Could they maybe have the priest do his thing over the beer so the water in it becomes holy, and then when she drinks it it's like a penance or something?

This will sound a bit strange. I have been at parties with nuns. They drank as well as anyone. I do not know of any rule against nuns drinking. Stealing on the otherhand is of course a no-no

The church doesn't prohibit alcohol consumption by priests and nuns. She's just a klepto, a sister with bad habits.
