They'll have to expand the bulkheads so his swollen skull can fit through.

Plus he'll need a new captain's chair with a cutout to accommodate his gigantic balls.

YGBSM.

Bet that Coast Guard captain wishes now he'd let that sorry tool drown, instead of trying to get him to actually do his job.

This guy apparently has either 1) a close relative high up in the company, or 2) some really choice dirt on someone high in the company - to think he even has a prayer of getting his job back, much less being that GD incompetent and being promoted to captain of a vessel in the first place.

We had a little ditty in the Navy called the "Lifer Song", one verse of which describes this guy to a T -

He's a lifer,Pray for him
30 years,he'll still be in
Shining shoes and polishing brass,
Making rank by kissing a$$
He's a lifer, Pray for him
30 years, he'll still be in

What Coast Guard captain are you speaking of?
You have little faith in a "good" lawyer to find something to twist and convince someone else black is white and voila! job back (or not guilty). People are stupid my friend.

the best defense is a good offense. Sounds to me like his plan is to get his lawsuit in before charges are brought against him, as part of a defense strategy in what will probably result in criminal charges.

I do like the "I tripped into a lifeboat" line though.
He even added that he gave his life vest to a passenger first.

The Italian Coast Guard captain that was in charge of the response to the accident. In the original thread from when this happened, someone linked to a 2 or 3 minutes audio clip of said CG captain chewing this guy's rear out, telling him to get his a$$ out of that lifeboat and back on board his vessel to organize the rescue of his passengers, replete with a few 4 letter words.

And that tool kept coming up with one sorry excuse after another - it's dark and I don't have a flashlight, I lost my shoes - even in Italian, from the sound of his voice, you could tell the CG captain was utterly incredulous and about to have a coronary he was so pissed at this guy.

Considering that several of his passengers drowned, he'd better hire Johnnie Cochrane to have a prayer in hell of winning either case.

It's a legal strategy - an innocent man would want his job back.

At least his lawyer would have something in common with the victims of his stupidity/arrogance...

The Definition of Chutzpah

The real definition of chutzpah is killing your mother and father. Then asking for lenience from the court because you’re an orphan.
