W126 Wooden Shift Knob --> W123?
Hi all,
I'm looking at replacing the shift knob that I currently have, but would this one fit in my car? Thanks -Holson- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1807726869&r=0&t=0

It does look as if it would. But I doubt.

won't fit on post-facelift w126's--the w126 shifter lever from 86 (i believe) onward is bent on the bottom, because the shifter accomodates the 2B gear. the w123 shifter housing didn't have this gear, so it is shaped like the w201/w124 knob's lever (or vice-versa)
three cheers for reviving an 8-zillion year old thread
