Yes TX. I have an OLD Sun scope, much farther back than that one. I bought it in the cheap ca. 1981 or so. I had to do a capacitor renovation to get it to work. At that time there were still lots of contact point ignition cars around and I used it extensively. It laid down about 20 years ago and I never had another need for it after that.

I don't know details about the one you show, but I would expect it would work quite well at least for the electronic, pre FI cars still left on the road with HEI, Duraspark and the like.

Are you electronics literate such that you could do a capacitor renovation if necessary? With old electronics, it's USUALLY the caps that go bad with time.

I have been through it with Sun Service as well when I was trying to buy some Refrigerant Recycling Machines. I found that there is a company, I can't remember the name, that does all the Sun Service and has availability of the few parts that are left. I can't remember the name, something like EServ or something. If you googled Sun Electric Service you could probably get the information.

I know this was a ramble, but it might be helpful in some way.
