Time for a DFW Get Together!

I think we should have a DFW get together. Allabassi tried putting one together some time ago, but no one could agree on a time and place.

I would really like to see this happen. I might have to wear Kevlar but I would like very much to get together with some of the local people. Maybe people could see first hand that I'm not the devil that I've been portrayed to be.

I feel QUITE confident that almost anyone on this site would be a decent Joe and enjoyable to visit with at a group gathering.

I'm going on a short vacation with my wife beginning tomorrow morning, but sometime after that, preferably a Saturday or Sunday I could be up for it.

Whadaya think? Any suggestons?

I'd go, but you know, I am kind of far from DFW right now...

Could have done a road trip to the GP in Austin. Of course, that's sort of like running towards the fire.

Actually, Nomex might be a better choice.

Yeah, but at least with a Kevlar vest, I wouldn't have restricted breathing!

Well, I'm just a little too far for DFW GTG, but I would undoubtedly drive further than normal for a chance to meet Larry.

Larry, I bet you are actually a very engaging and interesting person face to face.
Would be a pleasure to meet you.

Wish I had found this forum back when I was touring... Could have met members all over the country

Hey cmbdiesel

How far are you? I'm game to drive to DFW provided I have the 603 idler changed before hand.

I am afraid to ask but why do you have Kevlar?

Great idea Larry, it's been a long time since we did a DFW meetup. That said, I question whether we can put something together before holiday season is upon us. Let's see who shows interest and then perhaps we can look into date and location.

Sounds like a good suggestion! Yes, the holidays are coming upon us fast and I have lots of things going in addition to all that.
