Butt Naked Sensory Enhancement Releaxation Techniques

I don't remember if I've ever written this on this forum before but I figured I'd put it out there as a change to the usual political hamster-wheel in OD.

My wife thinks I'm mental but I assure you this is an intriguing method of relaxation that requires no chemical stimulus or expense outlay to achieve a positive effect.

You need a cold bathroom, with a linoleum or tile floor, other floor types might work but I can't vouch for them as I've never tried them. Also a bath with a straight side. An old fashioned tub on four feet with bowl shaped sides will not work. If these parameters are satisfied proceed as follows.

Strip naked, in your bathroom, preferably when the temperature is a little chilly, though not too much.

Set the plug in the bath almost closed, but not completely so that when water is entering it will leak out at a rate sufficient to cause the bath to take much longer than normal to fill up. Open the faucet sufficiently that the bath slowly begins to fill.

Lie down next to the bath in your butt naked state, hopefully the floor is some kind of linoleum or porcelain tile that is unpleasantly cold to to the touch.

Attempt to force your body up against the side of the bathtub such that you make as much skin contact with both the bathtub and floor as possible. Endeavor to affix your ear to the side of the bath as hard as you can like a suction cup.

At this point you should be pretty uncomfortably cold and wondering what the hell the point is of all this. Well press on dear readers...

Where the floor and bathtub are in contact with your skin their surfaces will start to warm up and you will start to get a nice comfortable warm glow like feeling thru your skin in those areas, which will contrast with the cold that surrounds you. In addition as you breathe your diaphragm expands and contracts causing the skin on the periphery of the "warmed area" in contact with the tiles to make and break contact with said surfaces and as it does so you will feel alternate "freeze thaw" cycles in that immediate area of your epidermis. This should in time, if you have arranged matters correctly cause a rather pleasant tingling sensation to course up and down your spine in sync with your breathing.

In addition the sound of the water plunging into the slowly deepening pool in the bath will have a soporific reverberational effect which should enhance the sensations you are feeling from the temperature cycles. You should be able to enjoy this experience for quite some time, up to ten minutes if you have balanced the fill rate of the bath correctly. Or however long it takes for your significant other to find you there and rather brusquely jerk you from your reverie and inquire as to what the hell you think you are doing.

I discovered this rather unusual method of relaxation many years ago and have been indulging in it ever since.

No doubt your explanations to your significant other will be accepted as being perfectly reasonable, after all you read it on a Mercedes Benz forum so it must be good

- Peter.

I am familiar with several similar techniques.
I prefer a cold swim followed by sauna, repeated as needed.

The invigorating result is simply amazing.

Peter,'
Its only fair to warn you that this will go on your permanent record.

You need to be of a certain age to remember the fear that anything going on your permanent record was certain to have dire consequences--such as keeping you out of the military, or keeping you out of an Ivy league College, or whatever.
