Chevy Equinox test drive.

My brother in law was given this as a company vehicle 2 months ago,a 4 cylinder engine that has an advanced economy package,it lowers idle speed and changes shift points combined with less electrical load needed for the alternator, all to give maximium efficiency..His last travel was 120 miles where he avg. 65 mph and performed 38 mpg, not to shabby .Sharp lines and very clean interior with plenty of upfrtont head and leg room.Did I mention my bro-in-law is 6'5".If they would make a mid size pickup with this package Im sure Chevy would be onto something ,towing with the 4 cylinder would be another issue but if its economy your after a truck design would increase these numbers with the lighter based chassis.

It's still a crossdresser: fake truck on a car platform -- give me a car that doesn't feel like a f'en UPS truck when driven. I'm not a safety-nancy, so I really don't give a rat's anus about sitting above everyone else.

If I want good mileage and cargo space, there are the Prius wagon and VW diesel wagons (which also happen to come with a real gearbox, not an autotragic). Leave the fake trucks for the stupid soccer mooooommies and realtor chicks who simply don't know any better.

You're wrong man. Nobody would want a small economical pickup. I can't tell you how many times I've been told that, read it on the internet, etc.

This can be accounted for in any number of ways but over the long run it probably counts as a fluke. If you average the mileage for all of the similarly equipped cars as a group they will probably average about 18mpg for the first 150K miles of their lives.

The v6 engine in the Equinox is made in China. Don't you love it? Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet, all made in china.

Does the "lights-on" warning go, "ching, ching, ching-a-bling?"
