Ok, I paid the $25 to be able to play the additional games...Who wants to start a private 1 on 1 game? It would give me better practice.

Hey JP.

I like practice, too. I've been playing a lot of speed games --- found some very interesting maps, but learning all the "new" rules for the new maps can be difficult.

BTW --- you might want to stay away from "freestyle" games !!!!

shoot me a PM and we can play a private FAST game tonight....after 8pm CST.

Speed Game play --- tonight ?

If anyone wants to play a speed game tonight after 8pm, shoot me a PM.

I'll be happy to set it up. Maybe 3 of us can play .....like Brazil or the British Isles.

I usually play:
Standard --- have no idea what the other things do.
Automatic
Sequential
Escalating; flat rate, no spoils can add a twist to a small map
Chained or Adjacent --- Adjacent adds an interesting twist.
Nuclear type spoils can be VERY interesting.....
Fog is very interesting, too. I like playing Fog.
Combining Nuclear with Fog leads to some interesting play.
Trench is so so ....

If anyone needs help with these terms and what they do, ask back on this thread.

Slowly figuring out the rules/options. After I'm moved (smart starting up three games of risk while your moving, eh?) would love to play a speed game.
Think I would have to upgrade for speed? Or can a freeloader be invited to them?

If I start it....you should be able to join provided you don't have 4 games going. As I recall, though, with speed games, they can't be made private or by invite only, so we will have to coordinate the time.

Please send me a PM if you want to play tonight after 8pm CST.

Last night

too late for me last night.....I went to bed "early" compared to other recent nights.

I got criticized last night saying I gave the game to another player. Apparently the other folks thought I had enough troops to take the Classic Map, but I didn't see it.

I'm guessing that's happened to you all, too, right?

Tuesday night?

Anyone interested in playing any of these maps tonight?

American Civil War
Luxenboug
Brazil
British Isles
Doodle <--- easy map

What's that German map that we have a game going on right now?
There was some German prisoner camp map I played a couple of nights ago --- reminded me of Hogan's Heroes <--- link added for the youngsters!

The map of Antartica looks terrifying to me !!!!

Still deep in the throes of moving.

Currently in new house, internet in old house....

Likely make a speed game hard to manage.

Think I'm more than halfway, man... moving is work.. especially if you are a resourceful guy who has lots of resources....
