I was there last February. When their roads are closed, they really mean CLOSED, as in 20 foot wall of snow!

And then you see tiny specks of light and hear the rattle idle of a small european diesel engine too.

When I visited - the nightly routine was to plug heaters for the battery, block and sump - put a bedsheet over the windshield and close the doors on it so we wont be fighting a ton of snow and ice in the morning.

Sweet! Break out the sleds (motorized or otherwise)!

Now that I'm out of the snow removal business, and my older kids are becoming less useless, my love for the snow is slowly coming back.

Variable wind 5-13 in the southeast and east and rain or snow.
Rain on top of all that could sure make a mess of things!

And to think, folks around here freak out over 4-6" and empty the shelves in the grocery stores.
