Aquaticedge
My niece recently became interested in keeping an aquarium.
I have a history of being an avid aquarist going back to the late 60's. Went through many phases of fishkeeping over the decades, currently out of the hobby ten years or so. Back to my niece. She just upgraded from a 29 to a 55 for a single "Blood Parrot". This hybrid has apparently become very popular to modern hobbyist's. Old school aquarist's/cichlid enthusiast's apparently scoff at this gentically engineered fish, much they as many did toward the artificially dyed glass fish back in the 80's-90's. Your thoughts? A link for anyone interested in what I'm referring to: Cichlid Research Home Page: Parrot Cichlids David in MD |
