Jesus stated that; "the poor will always be with us." How many poor people are capable of taking care of other poor people? Very few, I'd venture. What we do have in motion, is the case where the tax-collectors seize from the haves/rich, to take for themselves and the poor. I make a case for the Gov't (public servants) and the poor, BOTH needing the rich to feed them both. We cannot do without the rich, for those reasons. Why does the Govt and many have-nots want to do away with the rich, by hating and taxing out of existence, those that feed them? Doesn't make sense.
If he was, (a socialist) it would seem that He would not have supported union labor, since I don't recall reading where He mentioned it. He struck me as a free-lance, independent agent type of guy. Also, He wasn't fond of money-changers (whatever their function was) for whatever reasons, by turning their tables over in the temple - as the story goes.
If He does exist, which is hotly debated around here - I'm making note to send in aklim (and possibly others' from writings I've read) to argue the case in the public arena with Him, that He couldn't possibly exist. I want to see that.
