People.sometimes buy AR 15's cause they look cool, yes there fun to shoot also at targets close to far away.

hand guns can kill to even a .22 pistol.
High capacity clips aren't the problem or going to fix the problem.killers will just bring more smaller clips with them.

I got a AK 47 with 8 40 round clips. I brought it cause it looks bad ass. I had it 8 years and yet to shoot 1000 rounds as of yet.

I like the guy. Not sure why he should get fired just because you do not agree with him. Plenty of folks I do not agree with but I do not advocate them getting fired.

I see the same conversation when someone says "We need to ban all automatic weapons". We did that...back in the 1930's.

Proper terminology, especially when discussing weapon bans in whole or in part, is important. You can ban all clips over 10 rounds, as long as you leave the magazine capacity alone.

It's TV, and ratings are all that counts. Morgan could have started that petition himself to keep his name in the press. If it pumps up the ratings then it is a good thing as far as Morgan is concerned.

Now and then the ratings will drop for a right wing radio show. When this takes places the show's writers will come up with something crazy for the host to say. All of a sudden the show is getting tons of free ink and the ratings are back up.

Its' all about the Benjamins.

Every time I hear somebody talking about clips I automatically disregard whatever it is he or she is saying, figuring they can't possibly know what they're talking about.

On a technical point.....

What are those small metal things called that hold five rounds and are used to load an M-1? I have heard them called 'strippers' but is this correct?

Apparently you shove then down in the gun with the rounds and then it 'pings' out when all the rounds have been fired. Or am I thinking of something else?

I'm not a fan of the M-1, but you do see a lot of them at gun shows so someone must be.
