Feminist retaliation? I had to go to a womans shelter once to see a child. All was fine until I got inside. The building was well secured. The looks I got from the residents wanted me to say I do not abuse women. Guilt by association would have still been my fate. I had to think they probably had ben through a lot so perhaps their projected attitudes where reasonable..

I instantally knew it would not work anyways so just put up with the discomfort. I doubt I would ever go again. Or certainly not unless the staff told the residents that I was not attached in any way to one of the women present. Even that may not be enough as those women might still just lump me in with my gender.

My wife seemed amused when I mentioned the experience over supper. Just mentioning to never really piss her off as what she might dish out could be much worse.
