Cool clouds
I might be a bit of a weather nerd, but I think these are really cool
What Punched a Hole in these Clouds? - weather.com I've been privileged enough to see mammatus clouds on multiple occasions too, very rare and only seen in an extremely unstable atmosphere.

Is that picture for real? I have been watching clouds all my life and have never seen any that look like that! Depending on weather conditions I would like to punch through and see what they look like on top.
Thanks for posting this!

I've seen those a couple times too, right before or after a thunderstorm.

Those are cool Mammatus indeed. The angle of sunlight had to be just right to get them the way it did. Very nice.

I should note that I didn't take those pictures, just ran across them on weather.com. Mammatus clouds are pretty rare, only seen in super unstable atmospheres (so before and after storms). I've never seen a cloudpunch though, I think we get so much air traffic here that there's no way to isolate that. Really neat though!
