Do brokers still cold call?
I have a friend who wants to start out as a new stockbroker (ahem, Financial Advisor) at Smith Barney. I told him to keep looking for another job unless he can partner up with an existing broker who is about to retire (so he can buy the book).
He plans to do it solo via his own networking and cold calls. Is the 'do not call' list still enforced? I would think so since I have not gotten any stock pitches from brokers in years. Do any of you guys still receive cold calls for stocks? last one i got was maybe 5 years ago.

Do Not Call DOT Gov
We "Dumped" the Landline
(Ridiculous [Outrageous] charges by Bellsouth/ATT for "Tip and Ring" ) Years ago... The Unsolicited Calls by the "Hoors" from Wall Street at all hours only provided further incentives. News Flash... You do not have to do business with ANYBODY on Wall Street or the Commercial Banksters. (Your Friendly Local [Or National] Credit Union is eager for your Custom, AND they have No Interest In Screwing Y'all [or your Children,or grandchildren] ) 1.If I were your "Friend" ,I'd look for Another profession. Anyone associated with Wall Street and the Commercial Banks will accrue the same sort of Social Pariah status soon to be insisted by the American People. 1. A. ["It Ain't Gonna Get any Better...'Cause the Silly, Crooked Bastards are STILL enforcing BUSINESS AS USUAL on their (alleged) Profession."] 2.I'd be VERY,VERY,VERY careful about "Buying" ANYBODY's "Book" without a VERY in depth investigation by a Forensic Accountancy for LIABILITIES relating to CRIMINAL prosecution.(Screw the Civil Suits) (The S.E.C. and Justice are a Fixin to have Some Advisor-B-Ques)
