I know an ML is nice but c'mon, this thing looks amazing!! I couldnt beleive that those rims are STOCK!! Does an ML come with exciting looking rims as this Jeep does???

Also, the engine in this thing is way more powerful and the Quadra-trac system is great on the rough terrain.

Howdy All,
Over the years the GC's that have been taken off road have proven that they can handle as much as the average driver can dish out. In another forum it has been shown that the ML can hold its own. It looks like a toss-up between the two off road. So it comes down to what looks good to you. There are other factors but these were theonly 2 mentioned. Just my 2¢ worth.

Hm... it's more like what you need... GC would be a better Off-Road choice while ML is more refined on perfect roads(though some how, I feel ML drives "tippy" on highway...especially with cross wind blowing at you)....

Having owned 2 Jeeps, and knowing many others who have also owned them has brought me to the sad and angry conclusion that for as bad as the vehicle is built, the dealership and management channel behind these rolling pieces of garbage are worse. I would rather be shot in the head than own another. Chrysler knows that looks sell, and they also know that a perfect defense to every of the endless problems the vehicle experiences is to say “That’s normal, they all do it.” The worst part is that it is true.

BenzOnline, go buy one, I’ll keep my ML. You will soon learn the difference between appearance and substance....

My dad owns one and is very happy with it. It is the 2000 model which is the same as the picture but without the chrome rims. We have had no trouble with the car at all and it has 60,000 kms already on it.

It all depends on how you take care of it. I dont know what others do to their Jeeps but I have no complaints and would still choose it over the ML. This is the only Chrysler product by the way, that I would choose over a Benz.

Howdy All,
From what I have read on a Jeep newsgroup it has been running 50/50 on the GC as far as having problems or not. So if you like those odds on getting a good vehicle go for it because when you get a good one you have a great one.

Howdy yhliem,
I think we have been here before If I sell my YJ when I get the Gwagen I won't go back either. Not because I have had any problems but because the G is a step up(or many steps). I have kept my YJ stock and have taken it to the point where it wouldn't go any further so I haven't babied it and I have had one major problem(Rear tranny seal).
