Anyone here been to Sweden for vacation?

airfare to Stockholm are really cheap right now for some reason (dunno why?). We are undecided on a destination for this summer.

I've never been. Is the place worth seeing? other than hot swedish women.

Sweden is beautiful, spent many great summers there when I was a young boy. Would love to go back one day.

Very tiny little bit of play time I've had in Sweden on business trips has been lovely. On my list of places to take Darling Wife to..... one of these decades when time/money/stars align

Including the majestic møøse

A Møøse once bit my sister ...

No realli! She was Karving her initials on the møøse
with the sharpened end of an interspace tøøthbrush given
her by Svenge - her brother-in-law - an Oslo dentist and
star of many Norwegian møvies: "The Høt Hands of an Oslo
Dentist", "Fillings of Passion", "The Huge Mølars of Horst
Nordfink".

We apologise for the fault in the
subtitles. Those responsible have been
sacked.

Mynd you, møøse bites Kan be pretty nasti...

The lakes are amazing, even that Tjernobyl whipped out all the crawfish. We would make a campfire by the shore and they would just craw right up to the pan with boiling water waiting from them. We also would make gravad lax, I believe it's outlawed after the Tjernobyl disaster.

It's beautiful in summer, the days are sooooooo long, it's amazing up in he north when you can enjoy a sunny lake view at 3am .....beautiful !!!

The old downtown of Stockholm "Gamla Stan" is easily walkable, the Royal Palace is rght there, and so is the harbor.

The Swedes love their ice cream and in Gamla Stan I had the best black licorice ice cream I ever have tasted. I highly recommend you to go there - in summer,,,

And toured the Volvo museum, too, there.

The people are friendly, most speak English well, it is clean and the people are honest and it is safe. Lots of cheese to eat and fish too, but the food is rather bland for the most part, and for sure I love the Aquavit too.

It's been awhile (week before 9/11) since I got back, but I would be delighted to go again.

If you are feeling ambitious, fold in some time in nearby Norway, Finland and DFenmark for a greaat Scandanavian vacation, We went on a Globus Tour that made this possible, but it's actually a great way for first timers to get a good overall glimpse of the entire country /countries on the itinerary.

An unforgettable vacation and memories to last a lifetime await you!

Beastiality is legal and and speaking out against homosexuality is a crime, so if you have sex with any animal of the same gender as your own, don't complain out loud and you should be ok!

The original plan was to drive around the southern tip of Spain and maybe spend a couple of days in Morrocco (so we can at least say we have been to Africa).

Life simply goes too fast. My kids seem to be growing exponentially (in size, age, and intelligence). I want to savor every moment with them.

My biggest fear (absolute biggest) in life is to lie on my deathbed many years from now with a huge pile of money in the bank and have very little memories. The key is obviously balance. I know of some people who are so focused on wealth building that they forget the big picture. Despite their wealth, they died very lonely.

Sweden sounds like fun. Iceland is a possibility too. Airfares from BWI to Iceland are pretty cheap. Seeing a live volcano is pretty appealing.

I though Bork was from Iceland not Sweden. I could be wrong.
