FWIW, it is a long, slow, tedious process, but not impossible.
Like Larry said, there is documentation for every step, and as long as you follow it, you won't get too lost!

I think the bigger worry comes when putting everything back together. If you have leftover screws well.... whoops

seems most cars are made that way now - I have seen a mazda 6 like this just to take out a little temperature sensor. MAKES YOU REAL MAD..
consider MB the flag for this design, and like capn slow on Top gear said about the SL gullwing. MB was the first to make a high price car with a rubbish boot (trunk) - when lambo was making tractors and ferrari was in shorts.

I did this job on a 1971 300 SEL, a 6.3.
It was like they built the core and then assembled the car around it. The instructions were simple: Spend many hours taking the dash apart. Spend a few minutes on the core. Spend many hours putting the dash together. Simple! |
