Car Porn: Pictures of cars most have never seen
You can spend a bit of time drooling over the cars in these 52 pictures.
I've been lucky enough to see some rare cars and in that vein, if you're ever in the SF bay area, be sure to visit the Blackhawk Museum for some rare treats. Anyway, enjoy. |

Long ago I read a story in Special Interest Autos about the 1954 Buick Wildcat and how it was 'saved'.
Someone one was visiting a big shot at GM and as they walked through a building he noticed a junk yard full of odd looking cars. They were all show cars that GM had just dumped there because there was really no legal way to dispose of them. They were like works of art that no one wanted. They were not legal autos since they had no VIN's. So the visitor made a deal to buy them all with the proviso that none of them ever be made street legal. I don't know if this contract clause could be enforced, but making them legal was not the fellows intention. He just thought they should be saved and he had the money to do it. And some of them did turn out to be nothing but junk, but some of them, like the Wildcat, are with us today because of someone who had a love for the weird old cars of the 50's. |

I love art deco cars, nothing on 4 wheels has looked quite so good since than. Well except for the Jag E type.
Pagani is the only company these days making modern rolling art.

The Chryslers and the Buick made me all tingly.
Or something.

The Chrysler Ghia Special G1 and Coupe are some of my all time favorite American/Italian cars of all time. When American muscle & technique combined with Italian design, magic happens.

All of those late 20's and 1930's cars are Full Classics. Too bad everything today older than 25 years is considered a classic car, when none of it really is.
