Massachusetts bans driving

Seems Deval Patrick has banned driving in the whole state before the snow has even started to accumulate significantly. Talk about a f**king nannycrat c*nt, hope he slips on some ice and knocks some sense into his skull -- western MA is supposed to get 8"-12"; just a normal storm for the area.

I was hoping you made that up. Apparently not:

Can he even do that?

Air&Road 02-08-2013 03:45 PM

No different than banning guns.

I don't know. Most people aren't hunters, trappers, or cops, and thus find guns less useful than cars on a day-to-day basis.

Do you have to turn every issue into a gun discussion?

Because this is a gun forum. ;)

jplinville 02-08-2013 04:48 PM

Is he holding a gun to the public's head telling them not to drive?

He can if he declares a state of emergency, which he apparently has done. Typical, no respect for our constitutionally guaranteed right to drive.

Well, holding the Massachusetts State Pigs' guns, yeah. Apparently up to a $500 fine/1 yr in jail for violating. If the little Irishman slipped on some ice, he'd be doing the state a favor.

Then again, the state has a long history of putting buffoons into office. Ted the Swimmer Kennedy. Mittens Romney. The list goes on.

Fulcrum525 02-08-2013 05:36 PM

Hurray the worst drivers in New England are off the roads! :D:D:D:D

(Completely kidding of course...although that doesn't let Boston off the hook ;))

While the wiki page doesn't break down his complete racial makeup, I don't know how much Irish blood Deval has in him.

He's in MA politics. Therefore he's Irish :)

Driving an automobile is NOT a constitutionally guaranteed "right".

In fact it is a privilege which can be revoked. Ask anyone that got popped for a DUI with "DUI priors" on their jacket if you don't believe *ME*..
