Anyone here from Spain?

I think Miguel (Delibes) might be from Spain.

I thought it might be fun to get together with a forum member from southern Spain. I'll be there on the first week of April.

I'm not Spanish, but my wife is a citizen whose family is from northern Spain.

I've vacationed in southern Spain in Malaga, which is located in Andalusia. Beautiful!! You'll love the restaurants along the Mediterranean Sea as well as the driving.

Have a great trip!!

I used to live in Spain for a while in my early twenties: Madrid and Barcelona. Still in love with that country, amazing food and people. And it was dirt cheap at the time, what I heard is not the case anymore.

it's not too bad. so far, with the euro at $1.31. we are paying 130 euros per night at a 'For Rent by Owner' villa in Granada with views of the Alhambra.

car rental isn't bad either at 500 euros for the week.

I was paying $10 a night, but the view was an alley with pimps and transvestites hustling and a meal would cost $7 including a bottle of wine. Good times

That's what I am talking about!

Much more interesting than a view of the ocean! (Prolly quite a bit closer to the clubs/bars than a house on the ocean too!

Bah! Adventure is fun, and what keeps things interesting.

If this girl I am talking to pans out, I will be flying her with me to the Philippines this coming summer. She is a bit of a country bumpkin, and has never been outside of the CON-US!

The clubbing in Madrid is (or was) insane, you enter a club at 3AM and it's empty; come back a hour later and it's packed 'till the early hours. And then you get invited to the after parties outside of Madrid. Seven days a week, It never stopped, and the women are gorgeous and very flirtatious. I think it's time to go back

*That* would depend on the kind of CAR you rented.

Miguel-
We pushed it back to August now but it looks like it will happen.

We are renting a 6 passenger vehicle. Whatever it is.

Where in Spain are you from? It would be awesome to see you since you came to see me in NC a couple of years ago!
