Happy Valentine's Day
 

On this day, post what you think that Love is.

Love is driving my wife to an antique store that is 150 mile round trip because she wanted to go there.
Love is going back the next day to buy her a $3 trinket because she wanted me to.

Love is my wife traveling almost 800 mile round trip to go to a Mercedes car show even though she was VERY ILL and showed the best face that she could.

Love is my Lord listening to a DRUNKARDS prayer when my wife was very ill, and him answering my prayers. Praise Jesus. :)

What does love mean to you on this Valentine's Day? :)

For today's example, love for me will be leaving the office, going to the florist and the card shop and then getting to my wifes office to deliver all this:) and take her to dinner:) INSTEAD OF, taking advantage of the best flying weather I've seen in several weeks.:(

That is more of a worldly example. It has no match for the love that Jesus showed by enduring a horrible torture and death in exchange for our souls.

My wife is the only person I know who not only doesn't annoy ME after half an hour, I don't annoy her.
To show my affection, I have purchased and will surprise her when she gets home this evening with a brand new flashlight.

Can I watch?

You mean you want to watch her smack him over the head with the flashlight?:laughing:

Ultimately, love is seen when one puts the needs, wants and desires of another before their own, even to the point of death.

John 15:13 goes along with that quite well:

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

More kids, more pets and less disposable income than I ever wanted before I met her. :P
