Promaster pop-top camper
I was wondering -- the smallest Ram/Dodge Promaster is very similar in proportion and design to the old VW Eurovan. OK, 10" longer and higher, but still pretty small for a full-size van. It will probably get high 20s to low 30s highway with the 5-cyl Diesel.
How long before some company sells a conversion kit with a boat toilet, propane range/frig, folding bed, and pop-top? It would make a sweet little mini-camper. |

Ram ProMaster Introduction at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show - YouTube!
Seeing that it's modular in design, it will be very soon...by the end of the year, I assume. It appears to be a pretty decent platform to build nearly anything from.

Those won't take long either. Nearly any van conversion company would be able to put something together...it would depend merely on price. If you get enough people interested in it, the price would be less.
I assume it would be cheaper as an add on box, pre-manufactured, with made to order configurations. Point and click catalog, pick what you want, wait 60 days, and go pick it up.

Yes, the people already converting Sprinters will jump on the Dodge I think. They'll do both Class B and Class C versions.

This isn't 1975; Fiat's quality has gone up a lot since then.

Those Fiat vans are very popular for motorhomes in Europe. Have been for many years.
