Only 5,700 miles and the clutch was replaced 600 miles ago. I would think those GT's would only go up in price, new price was $440,000. By my rough calculations it did cost the owner $25 for every mile he drove. I sure hope he did get laid.

Besides the nit-picking of a poor boy, I want this so bad!

Per the thread, it looks to be a common issue. Damn Veedubs...

They were not that uncommon around Sunset blvd and Beverly Hills when they came out. I guess they all have hit the 5,700/6,000 miles mark and are now stored for future generations...

But for that kind of money I would go for a Singer 911, I love flying under the radar.

I'm surprised the clutch went. Jay Leno talked about beating on his without mercy, think he has 30k miles on it.

Said he figured the clutch would be good for at least 50k really hard racing miles.

You might get banned posting this kind of material on a polticial forum:P:D.

I always loved those cars but that is out of my price range and I do not see them coming down in value anytime soon.:o I remember when I first was one when I had the Porsche in for oil change. I sat inside it and it was amazing but the seats were interesting to say the least. 205mph top speed and exotic looks to go with it. I was in love :)

In the thread they made it found like it was a weak point

If I understand correctly you have to drop the engine to replace the clutch and it will cost you around $20.000. I think I have to adjust those per mile costs...
