The same progression as spelled out in the first book of the Bible, Genesis. What a coincidence.

Heck, I don't even have internet or cable at my house right now, she has both.
She may have cable and internet, but is lacking in self reliance and integrity.

I would prefer to have those over internet and TV any day.

I've got an entry-level warehouse/customer service position available ($15/hr. to start with benefits) with lots of room for growth. I've got a stack of IDK...50...resumes (within 2 weeks of posting it) of entirely over-qualified people, male and female, most of whom (based on their job history since you can't ask anymore) are in their 40's and 50's. All are well aware of the pay and job description.

She's in her 50's. Maybe long enough?

She should maybe learn something worth while that would qualifier her for a better paying job. Instead of just wasting the time/energy/effort taking those classes and taking the money for the short term.
Sounds logical. But I wonder what chance she'd have of employment even if she did complete a degree, or some "meaningful" certification at her age with the amount of people out of work.

Sure there is. Companies owe a job to employees. It's only fair.

No coincidence there. 'Civilized' religions have long had it in for hunter/gatherers. Still going on. Most pre-literate hunter/gatherers around the world have their local contingent of Protestant Wycliffe Bible Translators, turning their spoken language into a written language which will then be used to impose Christian/Capitalist values onto the unsuspecting tribal group. It turns out well in very few instances.

Yep. Let's say she got into a plumbing program. Who's going to employ a 55 yr old female as a entry level plumber?

That's a reason. Not a good reason.

Oh I agree, but I've also read Animal Farm.

Planning or depending on the personal integrity of the masses and you'll only be sorry.

The terrible truth is a circle of wealth resides in this country that has no concern of the well being of its citizens ,thats because their not from this country .The mass exodus of jobs and kazillions of dollars in fraud by W Street in the last decade is evidence that the shop ,Washington D.C., is dealing cards from the bottom of the deck to its U.S. citizens .I remember viewing the Clinton election in which the whole crowd watching the votes being tallied were europeans ,they even had their own police force with them escorting away any news reporters.

Yes, I am aware of 1 Thessalonians 3:10, as are my pastors. We haven't decided to act in any way yet, at least in the direction you are suggesting.

My God is reckless with grace and I believe we are to be wasteful with our grace. Heap grace, big messy grace on everyone, regardless of efficiency or return. Yes, I believe we should be stewards with our money, but spending the money when some need presents itself is better than keeping the monthly budget.

That post was my personal, on topic rant. I don't speak about that situation often, if ever. But I felt that it was the right outlet at the moment.
I wish you the best in your situation outlined. It's difficult to help those who need help, for any number of valid reasons, but I am confident through the reading of your various recent postings here and elsewhere on OD, that you are one that could make a difference leading to positive change in another's life situation. I believe in your knowledge and power. Peace.

Please provide some proof of your last sentence.
