Yup...Nothing like an old time filibuster. History in the making. I got to explain to my kids what it is. That was pretty cool!!

Good for him. That's a fight worth taking. Make the administration expressly renounce extra-judicial killing of its own citizens. WT Royal F is this even an issue -- what is wrong with elected gov that they wont make this a priority?

Not to mention that drone strikes kill 10 random people for every target on average. If you want to CREATE anti-US hatred abroad, that's a good way to do it.

Apparently Pakistan is also using the drone program as cover for their own air strikes in remote areas. This week, they claimed that US drones were responsible for casualties, however the US response was that they didn't have any drone activity recently.

The USA always denies knowledge of drone strikes in Pakistan as they are CIA directed operations.

Pakistan has it made. They charge extortionist fees for resupply in Afghanistan, they get overt foreign aid and covert funding from CIA. We kill their nutjubs in Waziristan and they get to blame us for everything.

I feel sorry for the majority of people in Afghanistan. We're going to leave them in the same dysfunctional state that Reagan left them when he had his little adventure against the Soviets in Afghanistan.

A REAL filibuster--not the mere threat of one. This is good political theater. Popcorn!

Fantastic.

I still think we should give the first patriot to shoot one of these illegal drones down a medal!

Speaking of drone traffic, raise your hand if you think it's a good idea to put a UAV into national airspace.

The UAV pilot is on the ground looking at a 2-d video screen of what the drone can see with a time delay for signals. A real pilot has his head on and stereoscopic vision in real time.

Want to fly in airspace with drones? How about one of those cute little things that can come through the windscreen and smack the pilot upside the head?

Drones are a nasty weapon: they stalk for weeks or months, strike and stay for the funeral.

But what is the overall outcome? Pretty much nothing. Sen. Tom Coburn was shutting down the Senate long before Paul was elected and all he had to do was submit a few forms.

He got so good at it he did it 332 times when a Bill came up he did not like.

But Coburn was able to strike deals with his shutdowns. Paul will just talk until he falls over and is carried away. Then.... Business as usual!

A lot of sound and fury, but signifying nothing.

This talk of drones reminds me of a joke...

In a recent report concerning a drone crash, the FAA reported that the pilot had suffered second and third degree carpet burns...

Absolutely. I remember a time when the debate was over whether the CIA could assassinate foreign nationals. The idea that a country would think it ok to kill it's own citizens without due process is nothing but totalitarianism.
