CT sucks...

Now they are trying to ban every single firearm that can hold more than 10 rounds...so that means just about everything I can thing of except for some bolt guns. OTOH the British SMLE comes awful close, I guess those will go next time around. Hmm lets see that rules out anything that takes a magazine...Garands would be legal for now....

So will the other states interfere if we remove the idiots in Hartford and set up a proper transition government?

Revolvers can fire six; they'd still be legal, right? Might encourage people to get training to as to actually be able to hit their target in six shots rather than shooting their wad off and praying like a high-schooler

I'm actually hoping they pass it that way because the supreme court has already ruled the firearms in common use are protected...which they would be banning.

A nice legal slap down would be nice!

Hat, have you ever heard the saying, "Give them an inch and they will take a mile?" This is how a total ban on firearms is implemented. First, nasty looking "assault weapons", then, anything that can fire a bullet over 50 feet, then, anything that holds over ten rounds, then all water pistols are to be immediately confiscated per Hitler's orders. Get it?

I used to have a friend whose mantra was "fight city hall with ink and paper". I had to finally straighten him out and tell that as soon as city hall is in receipt of his ink and paper, it promptly goes into the paper shredder. They don't care what the people think or feel about anything.

Depending whether the paper has an attorney's name on it and how much they think the person who's the architect of the paper is willing to spend to arsefawk them without lubrication.

Here's a point I'm waiting to see tried in court...it would be a very interesting case.

Assuming this does end up before the big 9 in D.C., and they rule in favor of the 2nd Amendment, I guess the ballgame is over for the progressives on this point. The problem is that B.O. is appointing like-minded clever individuals to the courts, and my guess is that once some of the old fuddy duddies retire or drop over, he will pack the Sup. Crt. with his cronies who will rule that the 2nd Amendment does not really say what it sounds like. We'll see. I still prefer to have the right to clutch my gun and my Bible without D.C. telling me how and when and what taxes I need to pay for that right. I do have the right to free healthcare, however.
