Has anyone ever done one of those Classics Rallys?
example-
The Endurance Rally Association - Home Looks like a lot of fun if you have the time, cash, and car. Anyone ever done one? researching, im noticing that my 74 115 is one year under the bar for a lot of these events, and some of them are even sorta affordable! like only 5 grand instead of 50

looking at the march april copy of the star, the article about the finback rally car looks like a lot of fun.
Im curious if there are these types of rallys on the east coast, and if anyone has done one? This guy completed in the califonia melee, the snowball Rally, and the monte shelton northwest classic rally, all for low entrance fees, and all look like a total blast and a fun way to enjoy an old car. I want to finish my 74 drivetrain, and enter it in one of these driving events, I can't imagine a more entertaining way to use a classic car

Looks like they've got one starting just to the north of us in Nova Scotia. You've got until '15 to get that car ready!
The 2nd Trans America Challenge 2015 Sadly I'll just be getting into the college/post-secondary education expenses for Son#1 at that point so it's likely a no-go for me. (Although I suppose they could have all of their spots filled already so it may very well be a moot point.)

I'm in....as soon as I see that 5th number...
There are 5 numbers in the lottery, right? Guess I'll never win if I don't play, but I won't lose either. Those rallies look like an excellent way to spend time and money.

what got me excited about this again was that the ones mentioned in that article in the star are actually affordable. You don't pay 15 grand to beat on your car like the first one I linked way back. the guy in the star competed in- California Melee probably 4-500 bucks 2013 SNOWBALL RALLY 325 bucks Home could not find price, so probably expensive The first two, id pay a few hundred bucks to enter in a 3-4 day time trial thing, looks like fun from the pics.
