That was the last generation. The new one has a higher ground clearance and a Bump detection system

I saw an article in the Diesel Technology Forum today that stated that it was mis-fueled with gas instead of diesel.

Thank goodness. I was thinking they resurrected the old engineering of converting a SBC (LS1) to run on diesel.

More like a diesel from a tank.

This article was posted in the Jalopnik comments for their article about Os Limo.
The forgotten fuel - The National

Seems the middle east is even more biased toward gasoline then the USA.

Just in case you're curious, our tanks don't typically run on diesel (though they can). They don't have piston engines. Isreali tanks do though.

Or vodka, or any combustable. Our tanks are powered by a jet engine.

Anyone find it odd that they flatbed is not being escorted? The limo is a rather top-secret machine when it comes to it inner workings and protective systems.

The Army switched to JP-8 for everything. Much simpler logistical chain with only one fuel to worry about.

Yes, the Abrams is powered by a turbine and can run on just about anything that will combust. Deposits, power output, and exhaust temps can become an issue, but in a pinch... I'm curious about drinking spirits, most are only 40%-50% alcohol and aren't easy to burn. Hmmm...
