How are those (NCAA) brackets looking?

I know many of you are too high-falutin' or genuinely disinterested to partake in the foolishness that is March Madness. For those of you who do, I offer you my brackets to make you feel a bit better about yours. I do still have 3 of my Final 4 in play so it's not a complete lost cause just yet. Lots of red, though, including some in games that haven't even been played yet. The West Regionals have not been kind to me.

And my apologies to Florida fans. My jinxing powers are strong!

Mine's not as bad as yours (I picked G'Town to lose, hah!) but I expect it to go South on me today. My second round picks traditionally bite the big one. I've got IU falling to Louisville in the championship and we all know THAT ain't gonna happen. (note to self, lay off the rum and coke when making NCAA selections)

NFW?!?! Really?

It was a hell of a game. I didn't start watching until about 1/2 way through the first half. I was watching whatever game that was opposite it, flipped over and saw that it was still close and stuck with it the rest of the way. FGCU just plays such a frantic, semi-out-of-control game that Georgetown just looked shell-shocked right up until the last 5 min. or so. Much different than the League Formerly Known as the Big East power game they're used to.

I wasn't terribly disappointed to see that. I seriously dislike ND and their holier-than-though attitude (punny ). Our best friends are Iowa State grads (husband and wife both from Iowa) so we always throw our support behind them. I picked ND because they always seem to win just to spite me. At least they used to.

interesting

I've seen Louisville (the home of Denny Crum) and my alma mater be numerous championship picks. I hope Memphis starts hitting their free throws or else I doubt they will be in the regional final. I didn't fill out a sheet again this year --- cars are keeping me too busy.

Good Luck to you!!!

Yeah but picking them to lose was more of a personal dislike for G'Town than by any logical choice. Two rum and cokes MIGHT have had an influence also.

Heard on the news today that the odds of picking a perfect NCAA bracket sheet . . . is multitudes higher than winning tonights Powerball.

Filling them out was a last second deal for me. Every year one of our suppliers runs a pool with their distribution partners, it got buried on my desk thanks to the spring rush. The funny thing, or sad depending upon one's perspective, is that I'm not really doing any worse with the brackets I didn't overthink than with the ones in the past that I put a lot of thought into.

Last Sunday on the selection show one of the FNIAs warned about FGCU being a real sleeper, a team which could give G'town a run for their money.
Guess he knew what he was talking about (or guessed right!)

"Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then" comes to mind.

And the downward spiral begins!

Sigh, Butler, Gonzaga and who let those Michigan teams in?
