DVD Pal coding question
I understand the the Pal regional coding will not work on US dvd players.
What if I play it on the computer (i have both Mac and PC)? has anyone tried it?

I have had success using certain software programs to play PAL format video on the PC. I typically use Nero AG software (from Karlsbad, Germany).
It is possible to 'Rip' the PAL DVD and use Nero Recode to burn it as NTSC video on a blank DVD.

PAL or NTSC shouldn't make any difference to your computer.
Although it is possible that WMP might not play it... Best thing to have is VLC. It's free and it plays everything. I have never stumped it with a huge variety of video sources. VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework!

If the DVD player sees it as a video DVD rather than a data disc, it's designed to respect the regional coding. If you "rip" it, it removes the regional coding.
